Laudis Lucille “Lucy” Brannan, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away on June 15th, 2026, at the age of 92.
Born on December 18th, 1933, in Nashville, Tennessee, she was the youngest daughter of Buist and Elizabeth Proctor. She married her husband, George Edward Brannan, in 1949. Their life together spanned over six decades and was filled with love, laughter, and dedication.
Lucy was a devoted mother of three children and a loving grandmother to five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. She loved her family above all else and never hesitated to help them in any way needed.
Lucy had a unique way of making anyone who met her feel special, always leading with kindness. Her gentle nature was appreciated by family and strangers alike.
Lucy enjoyed taking trips with her family, especially trips to the beach where she loved to relax in the sun. Lucy also enjoyed shopping, and her sense of style was as unique as her auburn hair and bright green eyes. When she was home, she would often be found tending to her flowers or baking her favorite lemon cake in the kitchen.
She is survived by her children Charles Edward “Chuck” Brannan, George Michael “Mike” (Jojo) Brannan, and Lisa Dianne (Leslie) Bailey; grandchildren Cameron Wallace, Bray (Chris) Brannan-Saine, Troy Brannan, and Melissa (Anthony) Barber; and great-grandchildren Heath Barber and Lucy Barber.
She was preceded in death by her husband George Brannan, brothers James Proctor and Lloyd Proctor, grandchild Trey Brannan, and daughter-in-law Jamie Brannan.
