Larry Eugene Nickens, 63, of Fairview, Tennessee, passed away on February 21, 2021. Born on October 14, 1957 in Nashville, Tennessee, he was a simple man of few words, a family man, a believer that shorts and flip flops were appropriate for all seasons and occasions, a forever scholar and patient teacher, an enthusiastic teller of dad jokes, and a fixer of all things.
Preceded in death by mother, Mildred McGlasson Newman; step father, William Newman; father, Cecil Nickens; and brother, Robert Nickens. Survived by wife, Ada Nickens; daughters, Tiffany Nickens, Stacey Carmichael, and Kianne Gimenez; son, Kenier (Ken) Gimenez; brothers, Pete (Elayne) Nickens, Stevie (Tina) Nickens, and Ronnie (Charlene) Nickens; grandchildren, Zachary Carmichael, Emma Carmichael, and Lilly Carmichael; and dog, Snowball.
Visitation will be held on Friday, February 26, 2021, from 4:00pm to 8:00pm at the Harpeth Hills Funeral Home.
