Larry O'Neil Hooper was born March 5, 1944, in Dickson, Tennessee to George O'Neil and Charlotte Greer Hooper. After graduating Dickson High School, he continued his education at Austin Peay State University.
Larry traveled to Detroit, Michigan to work with his Uncle Dorris Greer in his Tool & Die business. He married Victoria Stewart in 1964 and they lived in Detroit, Michigan. Larry enlisted in the United States Air Force and he and Victoria served tours in Biloxi, Mississippi, Sacramento, California and spent several years in Germany.
After serving in the Air Force, Larry and Victoria moved to Nashville where Larry trained as a computer programmer. He worked for several businesses in Nashville and Franklin. Larry, Victoria, and children settled in Franklin.
Larry enjoyed his friendships with many car collectors in the Franklin area. One of his favorite pastimes was being with his friends in the "Classic Car Show". Car enthusiasts came from the Middle Tennessee Area to bring their prize cars. He enjoyed seeing the cars and talking with the owners.
Larry is survived by his wife Victoria, son, Scott (Colleen) Hooper, & their sons Zachary (Abby) of Lafayette, Indiana, Samuel Hooper of Franklin, Tennessee; daughter Kimberly (Robert) Hoefling and their children Joshua and Alexandria Riley, of Columbia, Tennessee, and stepgranddaughters Hailey and Rebecca Hoefling.
Larry is preceded in death by parents George O' Neil and Charlotte Greer Hooper and infant sister, Sylvia O' Neil Hooper.
