Landy Ray Campbell, age 79, of Kingston Springs was welcomed into the arms of Jesus in his home surrounded by loved ones on the morning of August 3rd, 2026 after a long & courageous battle with pancreatic cancer.

Landy was born on November 15th, 1946, in Nashville, Tennessee, the third son of the late Cecil Joseph Campbell and Sadie Marie Felts Campbell. He grew up in Nashville and attended West End High School. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brothers, Cecil J. Campbell and Rex Campbell.

Landy worked for 38 years as a Systems Analyst for the State of Tennessee. He took great pride in his work, providing for his family, always extending his compassion & generosity towards his family, his church & those in need.

Outside of work, he enjoyed gardening, cooking, fishing, traveling, NASCAR, Sunday family dinners & annual traditions of traveling to the beach & the mountains with his family.

To his family, he was lovingly known as ‘Dad’ & ‘Papa’. Providing for his family was his greatest joy, and there was nothing more important to him than spending time with the people he loved. Landy is survived by his beloved wife of 61 years, Beth Anne (Ramsay) Campbell; his children, Kellie (Campbell) Maxin & her husband, sons Chris, Ronnie Campbell & Keith Campbell; His granddaughters Brenna (Campbell) Sledge & her husband, Jeremy & Anna Maxin; his 3 great grandchildren: Ethan, Nikolai & Caitlyn Sledge; his brother, Roger Campbell (Terry); and many loving nieces, nephews, extended family members & his grandog, Lucky. His devoted care for his special needs son, Keith, was one of the greatest reflections of his loving & selfless heart.

Visitation with family will be on Tuesday, August 11th at 11:30am at Harpeth Hills Funeral Home with service to follow at 1:30pm.

Our hearts find comfort in knowing that he has been welcomed into the home prepared for him by his merciful Savior: “In my Father’s house are many mansions” (John 14:2). He is now whole, free from pain, and at rest in the presence of the Lord.
