Kathy Taylor, age 98, of Nashville, TN, passed away peacefully on April 27, 2023 surrounded by family. Preceded in death by her loving husband of 43 years, Kenneth W. Taylor, Sr.; son, Kenneth W. Taylor, Jr.; grandson, Christopher Taylor; parents, Homer and Mary Ann Elizabeth “Mayme” Allen; and sister, Shirley Mager.
Kathy is survived by her daughter, Lynda (Rod) Thorland; grandchildren, Jon (Kati) Thorland, Jamie (Brian) Smidt (née Thorland), Joel (Amber) Thorland; great-grandchildren, Jovie Thorland, Harlan Thorland, Phoebe Thorland, Goldie Thorland, Kennedy Smidt and Walker Smidt; daughter in-law, Karen Taylor; granddaughter, Carole Taylor; great-grandchildren, Sophia Baker and Isaac Baker; granddaughter in-law, Trisha Taylor; great-granddaughters, Brette Taylor, Tatum Taylor and Darby Taylor as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Kathy was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend. She married on March 4, 1946. She and her husband were active members of First Church of the Nazarene in Nashville, TN. Kathy loved to do crewel embroidery and produced several “works of art.”
She loved her family. Her joy was knowing the latest updates and was everyone “okay.” She thoroughly enjoyed visiting with people and had a wonderful sense of humor.
Kathy leaves a legacy of strong Christian faith. She lived a blessed life.

Visitation will be held Friday, May 5, 2023 from 10:30 am to 11:30 am with a Celebration of Life Service at 11:30 am at Harpeth Hills Funeral Home, 9090 Highway 100, Nashville, TN 37221.
