Juanita Irene Ballard, born on February 1, 1948, in Nashville, Tennessee, left this world on September 7, 2025. She was a remarkable soul whose life was dedicated to caring for others, reflected in her more than 30 years of service as an elementary school teacher. With a master’s degree in education, Juanita touched the lives of countless children, instilling in them not just knowledge, but also a sense of kindness and compassion that she embodied herself.
Known for her caring and graceful demeanor, Juanita's personality shone brightly in every interaction. She was a loving and giving presence in the lives of those who knew her. A devoted mother and grandmother, she was particularly proud of her family, which includes her daughter, Jennifer (Jade) Appleton; sons, Paul (Paula) Ballard and David (Kate) Ballard; eight grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. Each moment she spent with her family was a treasure, as she loved hosting gatherings and sharing her culinary delights, often accompanied by her favorite Coca-Cola. Her home was a sanctuary filled with warmth, love, and beautiful decorations, all meticulously arranged with her creative touch.
Beyond her professional and family life, Juanita found joy in going to church, where her spirit of generosity and community inspired those around her. She deeply cherished her home and was known for her diligent cleaning habits, reflecting her love for a neat and welcoming space.
Juanita is survived by her beloved family, who will carry forward her legacy of love, kindness, and devotion. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald William Ballard, as well as her parents, the late James C. and Mary Louise Boyd, who nurtured her wonderful spirit. Her memory will forever hold a special place in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing her. Juanita Irene Ballard’s life was a beautiful testament to the power of love and caring—a legacy that will continue to inspire those she touched.
