January 12, 1945 — September 12, 2025

Joyce Ann Pedigo Wooten, 80 years old of Nashville, TN, died on September 12, 2025, at home after an exhausting battle with Alzheimer’s disease. She was born in Nashville, TN, daughter of Jesse Garfield Pedigo and Alma Pedigo. She was one of 8 children.

She attended Bellevue High school, (class of 1961) and met the love of her life and husband of 64 years James Wooten. They built their dream home on Old Charlotte Rd 15 years ago which was on the land she grew up on, and she loved sitting on her front porch watching the hummingbirds.

Joyce, also known as “Nanny,” loved to spend time with her family and grandchildren. She had an infectious laugh that made everyone laugh to hear it and would light up a room. She loved traveling and took many trips. The beach trips with the family were her favorite. She also had many shopping trips, especially when James would go fishing, and she had a shoe store in her closet. Most importantly, her Christian faith and values made her a great spouse, loving mother, and caring grandmother.
