Preceded in death by his wife, Jessie Roberts; parents, Joe and Willie Mae Roberts; brother, William E. Roberts.

He is survived by his children, Joseph Andrew Roberts III, Renee Lancaster, Sandra Schade, JoAnna Newton, Lesley Plumlee and Charlie Roberts; grandchildren, Darrell, Morgan and Paige Hollars, Chelsey Schade, Caitlyn Arrington, Rachel and Matthew Newton, Abigail Plumlee, Emmeline Golightly, Cecily Roberts, Joseph Andrew Roberts IV and Christopher Roberts; many great-grandchildren; brother, Bobby Roberts.

He never knew a stranger. He loved his family, gardening, music, carpentry and art. He served four years in the Air Force and Army.

Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. on Friday, June 8, 2018 from at Harpeth Hills Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life Service will be at 10 a.m. on Saturday at Harpeth Hills Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Harpeth Hills Memory Gardens.
