John Smart

John Edward Smart passed away peacefully on December 14, 2022.

John was born on November 23, 1934 in Muskogee, Oklahoma. He is preceded by his loving daughter Kelcy Marie, parents James and Zora Smart, brother Pete, sister Jimmy Lee, father-in-law Roy, and mother-in-law Lily Wallace.

He is survived by his loving wife of 40 years Janet Smart, sister-in-law Jacki Catlett and extended family, as well as nieces Kelly, Leighann, and nephews Damon, Wade, and Roger.

John loved education serving as a Principal, teacher and coach for many years, he was a lifelong OU fan, Boomer Sooner. But most of all he loved his family.

At this time services will be held privately.
