Sangervasi, John Henry, 91, passed away on June 16, 2025. He was born on April 16, 1934 in Southborough, Massachusetts to Enrico and Edith Sangervasi . A first generation American, John was a hard worker, accomplished engineer, devoted husband and loving family man. His career as an engineer spanned 5 decades, and stories from his travels to Singapore with General Electric were fondly shared with children and grandchildren. Known for his ability to fix anything, neighbors and friends relied on him frequently for home repair projects. At home he was known as “Johnny Pots and Pans”, as he dutifully cleaned the very active kitchen of his beloved wife, “Annie”.
John and Ann lived in Milford, Massachusetts until moving to Nashville, TN in June 2001 to be with their son, daughter-in-law and granddaughters. While John was known for his motto, “every day above ground is a good day”, his family is comforted knowing he is now reunited with the love of his life and wife of 67 years, and daughter.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Edith (Sanchioni) Sangervasi and Enrico Sangervasi , wife Ann Marie (Mussulli) Sangervasi, and daughter Deborah Sangervasi. John is survived by his son Jay Sangervasi (Sandy) and granddaughters Kate Webb (Baxter) and Emily Mitchell (Mike).
The family would like to thank John’s caregivers at Centennial Hospital, Abe’s Garden and Woodcrest at Blakeford.
In keeping with John’s wishes, a private graveside ceremony will be held with family in Massachusetts at a later date.
