John N. Richardson, lovingly known as Johnny, passed away peacefully on January 30, 2026, at the age of 85.
Johnny was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Jacqueline (Jackie) Evans Richardson; his parents, Dennis and Eva Richardson; sister, Peggy Joyce Foxall; brother, Roger Dale Richardson; niece, Mittnee Doub; nephew, Ray Foxall; and son-in-law, Marc Travis Logan.
He is survived by his daughter, Janet R. Banks-Logan; son, Craig Richardson; step-daughter, Christy Jackson (Paul); grandchildren, Samantha Bolden (Daniel), Spencer Richardson, Paige Berlin, and Jonathan Berlin; his two great grandchildren Bentley and Bennett Bolden; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He also leaves behind his special friend JoAnn Fitzgerald, Rick Kennemore, and the cherished neighbors of Bellevue Manor.
Johnny proudly retired from Nashville Electric Service, where he worked as a Lineman and later as a Superintendent. He took great pride in his work and cared deeply for the men he worked with and supervised. Whenever storms rolled in—holiday or not—Johnny was on call, ensuring power was restored and his team came home safely.
Even after retirement, he continued to lend a hand with side jobs—his strong work ethic never wavered. Later in life, Johnny found new joy in restoring classic cars, often rescuing them from overgrown fields and bringing them back to life. He loved attending car shows and spending time with his friends in the Midnight Rodders Car Club, one of his favorites.
Johnny’s heart was also full of love for his Yorkies, George and Gracie. He and JoAnn cared for them as cherished members of the family, enjoying their company and playful spirits every day.
Johnny will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. His legacy of hard work, kindness, and a love for life will continue to inspire those he leaves behind.
