Mr. John Robert McClure, Sr., age 91 of Hope, Arkansas passed away, Sunday, April 24, 2016 in a local hospital. He was born March 19, 1925 in Bonham, Texas to Clem and Minta Harvey McClure. Mr. McClure was a member of the Prescott Church of Christ, a US Marine veteran serving in World War II and was a retired Manager of Quality Control with Quaker Oats. He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife of 60 years, Mary Clary McClure and a grand-daughter; Jennifer Bevil.

Survivors include; son; Robert McClure, wife, Susan of Chattanooga, TN, three daughters; Nita Crews of Prescott & Hope, Marsha McClure of Allen, TX and Sally Gray of Fairview, TN, a sister; Adeline Hill of Denton, TX, 10 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews, other family members and friends.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, April 30, 2016 from 11:00 am - 1:00 pm at Harpeth Hills Funeral Home where a celebration of John's life will be conducted at 1:00 pm with Brother Clifford Dobbs officiating.

A graveside service will follow in Harpeth Hills Memory Gardens, Nashville, TN.
