Jet Mealer, 88, of Brentwood, passed away on Sunday, October 25, 2026. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Wayne Mealer and a brother, Jack Broome.

Jet is survived by her three children, Chris Mealer and his wife Teresa, Jeff Mealer and Jennifer Carter and her husband Carl, a granddaughter, Savannah and her husband Dani, and numerous relatives and friends.

Jet was a woman of unwavering faith, a generous heart, and a deep love for others. Her church and her relationship with Christ were central to her life. For over 50 years, she faithfully led a Bible study, sharing her knowledge, wisdom, and love of the Lord with others. She also enjoyed singing in the church choir and playing the piano, using her musical talents to glorify God.

Jet had a special place in her heart for children and was known for her extraordinary generosity and compassion. Through her dedication to missions and church outreach, she helped provide approximately 2,000 meals each month to 50 children in Nicaragua. Her commitment to helping those in need extended far beyond her local community, touching countless lives through her kindness and selfless giving.

Jet lived her faith through her actions, always looking for ways to make a difference in the lives of others. Her legacy of love, generosity, and devotion to God will continue through the many lives she touched. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who were blessed to know her.

The family will receive family and friends on Monday, November 2nd, 2026, from ten thirty in the morning until the time of the funeral service at eleven-thirty in the morning at Harpeth Hills Memory Gardens, Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 9090 TN-100 in Nashville. Dr. Jeff Mims will officiate the service. A private committal service will follow.
