Jerry Douglas Stephens, born on December 15, 1947, in Nashville, TN, passed away on May 8, 2025, in Nashville, TN.

Preceded in death by his loving wife of 44 years Peggy Stephens; brothers Tommy Pratt, P.V. Stephens, Joe Stephens, Mike Stephens and parents P. Vernon and Yeno Stephens.

Jerry is survived by his children Darby (Nikki) Stephens, Kathy (Chad) Spicer, Macey (Angela) Stephens; grandchildren Montana Spicer, Abi (Chandler) Rowe, Sarah Stephens, Kendall Spicer, Madeline Stephens (Tucker Ford), Kayla Stephens (Peyton Adams), Ansley Stephens, Kadence Stephens, Eli Stephens; great grandsons Rhys Rowe, Grady Rowe; sister Patsy Gamble; as well as numerous friends and loved ones.

Jerry was a proud graduate of the Bellevue High School graduating class of 1967. He was a faithful member of James Ave Church of Christ, where he not only worshipped but also volunteered with Churches of Christ Disaster Relief Efforts and eagerly participated in the Friday Night Singings.

Outside of his work and church commitments, Jerry enjoyed the great outdoors where he was often found cutting grass, busting wood, and riding his Harley motorcycle. Jerry had a deep love for sports and cherished his role as a family man and a devoted Christian.

Visitation will be Monday, May 12, 2025, from 4:00pm ~ 8:00pm and Tuesday, May 13, 2025, from 9:30am ~ 11:30am with a Funeral Service at 11:30am until at Harpeth Hills Funeral Home 9090 Highway 100 Nashville, TN 37221.

Jerry’s life was marked by hard work, devotion to his family, and a spirit of kindness that will be missed by all who knew him.

Honorary pallbearers include Billy Moore, Robert Bennett, Jr Stephens, Mike Hamm and Walter Mangrum.

Pallbearers: Chandler Rowe, Tucker Ford, Peyton Adams, Brian Swaner, Jeb Lemay, Drew Stephens, Caleb Estes, Andrew Gillette, Cole Tubville and Justin Beck.

Officiating the service will be Ed Boggess.

In lieu of flowers make donations in Jerry's name to Churches of Christ Disaster Relief Effort, Inc.
