Obituary

Jean Bryant Jones, age 91, passed away peacefully, leaving behind a legacy of unwavering faith, unconditional love, and devotion to her family.

Born on December 10, 1934, in Middlesboro, Kentucky, Jean was the daughter of the late Mary Evans Bryant and Ronald Bryant. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Roland Jones; her sister, Mildred "Midi" Bryant Oaks; her infant brother, Robert Louis Bryant; and her beloved son, Joseph Bryant Jones.

Jean is lovingly survived by her daughters, Melanie Jill Smith and Merri Lynn Sager. She was a proud and devoted grandmother to Cary Smith (Annie), Ansel Bradshaw, Kate Jones (Trey Lucie), and Emma Jones, and she was blessed with one treasured great-granddaughter, Gemma Smith.

To her family, Jean was simply the best mom anyone could ever ask for. She gave everything she had to ensure her children were raised with faith, love, good health, and the freedom to pursue their dreams and the things they loved most. Her kindness, strength, and selflessness were evident in every aspect of her life.

One of Jean's favorite Scriptures, displayed on a plaque in her home, perfectly reflected the way she lived:

"As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord."Joshua 24:15

Those words were more than a verse to Jean—they were the foundation of her life and the legacy she leaves behind.

She was more than words can express, and her family will remain forever grateful for the love she gave so freely. She will be deeply missed, lovingly remembered, and held close in the hearts of all who knew her.
