Christopher Jason Record, known to all as Jason, passed away on August 3, 2024, in Montgomery, Alabama, at the age of 42. He was born on July 26, 1982, in Fort Campbell, Kentucky. Jason grew up in Jackson, Tennessee, and went on to attend Tennessee Tech University in Cookeville, where he later resided for most of his adult life.
Jason is survived by his loving family: his cherished daughter, Scarlett Record; his mother, Judy Record; his father, Jeffrey Record; his sister, Jessica Record (Zach); the mother of his daughter, Erika Smith (Brandon); his stepsisters, Dana Edwards (Trae) and Tina Hazle (Larry); and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. He was preceded in death by his stepmother, Ellen Record; his maternal grandparents, George and Lois Isaac; his paternal grandfather, Buddy Record, and his wife, Margaret; and his step-grandmother, DJ Record.
Jason was larger than life, a quality exemplified by his adventurous career as a high-rise sign installer. He had a deep passion for music, caving, reptiles, and the great outdoors—especially when he was exploring nature with his beloved daughter, Scarlett. His love for his family and friends was fierce and unwavering, and Scarlett was the undeniable light of his life.
We take comfort in knowing that Jason is now at peace with his Heavenly Father, reunited with those who have gone before him.
A celebration of Jason's life will be held on September 28 2024 from 3:00pm ~ 7:00pm at The Pavilion at Harpeth Hills Funeral Home 9090 Highway 100 Nashville, TN 37221
