Janie Louise West Blackburn

Janie Louise West Blackburn 75, a native Nashvillian, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on April 5, 2023. She was a devoted Mama and Meme.

Mama, Meme, sister, aunt, or friend, Janie was loved by all who knew her. She enjoyed flower gardening, feeding her birds, reading, watching movies, crosswords, spending time with family and friends, and her churches, World Outreach, Murfreesboro and Old New Hope Baptist, Fairview.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Dave; and her loving parents, Millard and Jeannie (Knight) West and brother-in-law, Eddie.

She is survived by her children, Michael (Tiffany) Abernathy and Michele (Michael) Baird; step-daughter, Kacey Mosley; her beloved granddaughters, Peyton Abernathy, Alison (Clayton) Farmer, Caitlin Baird, Cheldin Baird, and Jaqueline (Preston) Sewell; her sister, Pat (Ray) Whitley; and nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her dearly loved cats, Penelope and Sylvester.

Graveside services will be held on Monday, April 10, 2023, at 2:30 pm in the garden of Chapel Hill West at Harpeth Hills Memory Gardens, 9090 Hwy 100, Nashville, TN. 37221.
