Janice Ellen Bennett, age 65 of White Bluff, passed away July 19, 2017 at St. Thomas Hospital.
A native of Ft. Benning, Georgia, Janice was the daughter of Floyd Pete Roper and Wanda Marie Pennington. She was the wife of Joseph Edgar Bennett, who survives.
Janice was a homemaker, but had worked for Thomas Nelson Publishing for over 17 years. She loved to volunteer and always put others before herself. She was loving, quiet and giving, and had a special relationship with her grandchildren and great-grandchild. In earlier years she enjoyed dancing and traveling.
Preceded in death by her parents and four brothers: Dennis Roper, Bo Gibson, Ricky Pennington and Chucky Pennington, she is survived by her husband: Joseph Edgar Bennett of White Bluff; five children: Nicole Knight, Tia Strickland, B.J. Anderson, Ashely Brown and John Bennett; 8 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; and several nieces, nephews and extended family.
The family will visit with friends on Sunday from 2-8 p.m. at Harpeth Hills Funeral Home, and again on Monday from 12-1 p.m. Funeral services will be conducted Monday at 1 p.m. at the funeral home with burial in Harpeth Hills Memory Gardens.
