Jamie Laura Adair

Jamie Laura Adair, age 26, passed from this life to life eternal on Sunday, September 24, 2023. She was born in Nashville, TN, on December 28, 1996, and was living in Knoxville, TN.

She was a graduate from Overton High School and Nashville State Community College with an Associate’s Degree in Political Science. Throughout her life, she had been known to speak out for those around her that she felt weren’t being treated right. She was intelligent, beautiful, and will be forever missed. After seven years of life’s challenges through drug addiction, Jamie has now found eternal peace. A special thank you to Alan Whitley who provided guidance and care for Jamie through this over the years.  

She is preceded in death by her grandparents, Marvin and Laura Lovell and Charles and June Adair; and uncle, Marshall Lovell. She is survived by her parents, John and Lisa Adair; brother, Steven Adair; and the two cats she loved, Rock and Romeo.

Her family also wants to thank Thomas Azpell for caring for her two cats and to Jerika Smith and her other friends, those who truly supported her, especially in the times that she needed it most.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, October 7, 2023, at Glendale United Methodist Church, 900 Glendale Lane, Nashville, TN, 37204, with Rev. Steph Dodge officiating. Prior to the Celebration of Life Service, the family will hold visitation at 1 p.m. until the service starts.

Donations to celebrate Jamie’s life can be sent to The Next Door, whose mission is to provide care for substance use and co-occurring disorders to empower women for lifetime recovery. Jamie had hoped to be able to help other women through the court and criminal justice system in the future. The Next Door is engaged in this very work.
