James “Jim” Albert Matheney age 87, passed away on September 6, 2022. Preceded in death by his loving wife Doreen Matheneny.
Survived by daughters, Jan Teirnan, Kristin Matheney; son, Jay Matheney; stepson, Manous Bracey; brother, Jack Matheney.
Jim was born January 5, 1935 to the late Fred and Mildred Matheney. He graduated from the University of Tennessee and enlisted in the Army for a few years. Jim worked for the State of Tennessee as a Director of Unemployment for over 42 years. He loved reading and watching football. Jim was a member of Blakemore United Methodist Church.
There will be a Celebration of Life Sunday, September 11, 2022 at 1:00pm at Harpeth Hills Funeral Home.
