James Earl Ward, of Thompsons Station, Tennessee, passed away on September 25th, 2025, in Columbia, Tennessee. He was born on January 20th, 1941, to Charlie Roosevelt and Gladys Lee Ward.
James is preceded in death by his parents, and brothers, Charlie R. Ward Jr., Aaron Ward, and Henry Ward.
James is survived by his children, Jamie Ward (Tommy) Bumpous, Jana Ward (Jim) Cross, James Allen (Juli) Ward, and Angela Ward (Robert) Middleton; 11 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren; siblings, Paul (Erma) Ward, Irene (Vernon) Nedbalek, and Alden (Judy) Ward; as well as multiple nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 4th, 2025, starting at 9:00am, with a graveside service following at 11:00am. A reception will be held at the home of Jamie and Tommy Bumpous afterwards.
In Lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Nashville Rescue Mission.
