James Edgar "Ed" Thompson of Nashville, Tennessee, passed away at Alive Hospice on Tuesday, February 20, 2018; he was 75 years old.
Mr. Thompson, preceded in death by his parents Joe Volney and Marjorie Schlinker Thompson; is survived by his wife of 55 years, Julia Foriest Thompson; daughter Lynn Hopkins (Kevin); son James Alan Thompson (Shannon); six grandchildren Lauren Woodard (Andrew), Anthony Hopkins (Carrie), Kelcee Summers (Ethan), Noah Thompson, Cade Thompson, and Sophie Thompson; two great grandchildren Eli Woodard, and Bennett Woodard; sister Gail Berlin (Raymond); and brother Dan Thompson (Lenora).
Visitation will be Friday, February 23, 6-8 pm, and again Saturday, 10-11 am, with a Memorial Service beginning at 11:00 am; all at the Harpeth Hills Church of Christ, 1949 Old Hickory Blvd, Brentwood, TN 37027.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Alive Hospice.
