Obituary

James Keith Sovine 12/2/1967-10/3/2026

Well done, good and faithful servant.

James Keith Sovine passed on from this life and entered eternal life on October 3, 2026.

James Keith was the third of five children born to William "Bill" and Phyllis Sovine of Nashville, Tennessee. Keith grew up in the parochial environment of Christ the King and graduated from Father Ryan High School Class of 1986.

After high school Keith attended Ole Miss and transferred to and graduated from UT Martin with a degree in business. Keith worked alongside his father in the insurance business, Sovine and Associates, for many years before spending the last few years of his life in a caregiver role for physically and intellectually disabled gentlemen in southern Tennessee. This role of a caregiver correctly defines Keith's life. A more generous and kind soul, you would be hard pressed to find. Keith was a Fourth Degree Knight of Assembly 1081 of the Knights of Columbus and was proud of his service and mission among these fine men. He was a welcome and frequent volunteer at many outreaches including Room At the Inn and The Legion of Mary. He could often be found smiling and helping out wherever he could and his joyful spirit will be missed by so very many.

He was preceded in death by his father Bill Sovine, mother , Phyllis Sovine, and brother, Kelly Sovine

Keith is survived by his sisters, Kym (Brent) Baruzzini of Ardmore, TN, Karyn (JImmy) Green of Nashville, TN, and Kathy Chatham of Lucedale, MS.

He was an uncle to 8 nieces, 14 nephews, grand nieces and nephews, cousins, and many friends. His former spouse, Missy Tomaszewski, remained a close and supportive presence in his life.

A funeral Mass will be held Saturday, November 7, 2026 at St. Mary's of the Seven Sorrows in Nashville, TN at 12:10 pm celebrated by Fr. Jayd Neely. He will be laid to rest at Harpeth Hills Cemetery following the service.

Eternal rest grant unto him O Lord, and may perpetual light shine upon him. May Keith's soul and all the souls of the faithful departed, through the mercy of God,rest in peace. Amen
