James Gibson, Jr.

James Clyde Gibson, Jr. November 2, 1957 – February 17, 2022

Son of James Gibson and Roxie Cawood Gibson of Nashville, wife Robin Dillingham Gibson and son James Aidan Gibson, of Cookeville. He attended Oak Hill School, MBA, Belmont University and Vanderbilt University.

Ordained in PCUSA, served parishes in Eminence, KY, Rock Island, IL and Birmingham, AL.

He was received as a Priest in the Anglican Tradition in 1996. Father Jim served parishes in North Carolina, Georgia, Florida and Tennessee.

He taught school at Oak Hill and Christian Academy of the Cumberland’s. He was also active in leadership at day camps. He was also active in the community where he lived, including volunteering for EMS services, Meals on Wheels and opening a Christian bookstore.

He will be remembered as a loving son, husband, father and friend. His greatest joy was leading others to Christ.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
