Jac'Lyn Troutman Willie

Jac’lyn Troutman Willie, age 73, passed away with her daughters by her side on Sunday, May 28, 2023 after a brief battle with cancer.

Jac’lyn was born on September 7, 1949 to the late Jack and Charlotte Troutman in Atlanta GA.  She grew up in the Ansley Park area of Atlanta and attended The Lovett School where she graduated in 1967. She went on to attend Shorter University and then pursued her life passion of counseling at Trevecca Nazarene University. At Trevecca, she received a Master’s Degree in Counseling, which lead her to a career that allowed her to touch the lives of so many people.

From coordinating organ donations at Vanderbilt Hospital, to advocating for at risk youth at My Friend’s House, she retired as a Mental Health Counselor at United Healthcare Group. Jac’lyn’s entire career path was dedicated to helping others. She was an advocate for people who didn’t have a voice. She left her imprint on the thousands of people and families to which she provided support. Jac’lyn truly had a hand in saving lives.

Jac’lyn started a family with the late Don Willie and had two beautiful daughters, Kimberly and Katie. She was a devoted mother and always put her family’s needs above her own. She worked hard to instill good values and principles in her children. Kimberly graduated from the University of Tennessee and enjoys a successful career in finance. Katie went on to give her two wonderful grandchildren, Brayden and Emma. She was very influential and involved in their lives. They were the light of her eye.

Jac’lyn will always be remembered for her warm heart, quick wit, willingness to listen, and wanting the best for the people around her.

Jac’lyn is in heaven with her late sister, Anne Troutman Brown; parents, Jack and Charlotte Troutman. She is survived by her daughters, Kimberly Willie and Katherine Willie; grandchildren, Brayden Rose and Emma Dellavecchia; siblings, Marc Troutman and Beth Troutman Williams (Hank); brother in law, Julian Brown; nieces and nephews, Maggie Grady, Jack Williams, Hugh Williams, and Christian Brown.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 10th at Harpeth Hills Memory Gardens at 9090 Highway 100, Nashville, TN 37221. Visitation will be from 11:00am- 1:00pm with a service starting at 1:00pm.
