Helen C. Lannom

Helen Cantrell Lannom went home to be with the Lord on June 23, 2025, at age 95. Born on September 20, 1929, Helen was the youngest of five siblings. She was an avid athlete all her life, first playing basketball for Cohn High School, and later as a proficient bowler with her husband Herschel. Helen was a Christian and loved attending church.

Helen was preceded in death by her husband Herschel; her mother Carrie Nelson Cantrell; and her father, William Wallace Cantrell. Also preceding her in death were her siblings: William Wallace Cantrell Jr., Dorothy Cantrell Carlton, Pearl Florine Cantrell Gossett, and Sarah Cantrell Osborne and their spouses.

She is survived by daughters Carol Swann (Ken), and Donna Brevard (John), grandchildren Heather Swann Banner (Ryan), Thomas Swann, Justin Brevard (Mary Nell), and Jason Brevard, and great grandchildren Owen Banner, and Ava and Mila Brevard. In addition to immediate family, Helen had many loving nieces, nephews, and extended family.

Funeral services will be held at Harpeth Hills Funeral Home on Saturday, June 28, 2025 with visitation 9:30am -11:30am and the Celebration of Life at 11:30am the burial will immediately follow. Active pallbearers will be Ken Swann, Thomas Swann, John Brevard, Jason Brevard, Justin Brevard, Ryan Banner, and Owen Banner.
