Helen was a mom, grandma, great grandma, great, great grandma and friend too many she started a very large, loving family that went onto grow to five generations during her lifetime.
Born on November 9, 1932, to Charles Graves and Ruby Hall. She is survived by her children, Brenda, William (Penny), Rita (Robert), Janie (Bit), Dianne, Becky (Johnny) and Patricia. As well as her honorary son, Larry Leverett. Helen’s family continued to grow in her honor with 17 grandkids, 36 great-grandkids, and 10 great-great-grandkids.
To have known Helen, better known as Memaw to so many, was to know a beautiful, strong, honest and hard-working woman.
She dedicated her life to so many, working as a nurse at Baptist Hospital for 25 years and continuing her love and care to each person that walked through her front door every Sunday for dinner. All were welcome at her table, and through her servant heart, she touched the lives of so many.
She leaves behind a beautiful legacy full of the kind of unconditional love that Jesus shared to all. Helen went home to be with her Lord and Savior surrounded by the hands of each and every one of her seven children. Her legacy will not be forgotten, and her true testament of love will continue to be carried on by the family.
