Obituary

Gary Everett Dallas, age 76, passed away peacefully on August 22, 2026, in Nashville, Tennessee, surrounded by the love of his family.

Gary was born in Valdosta, Georgia, and attended the University of Georgia, where he developed an avid love for the Bulldogs. He remained a devoted Georgia fan throughout his life and loved watching the Bulldogs play.

Gary was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather who cherished his family above all else. He is survived by his beloved wife of 58 years, Linda Dallas, and their two children, Rett Dallas and his wife, Kim Dallas, and Kristen Summers and her husband, Josh Summers.

Gary was a proud grandfather to Carder Dallas and his wife, Madison Dallas; Aby Yeager and her husband, Drew Yeager; Cooper Summers; and Hadley Summers. He was also blessed with two great-grandchildren, Jett Dallas, 5 months old, and Ember Yeager, 2 years old, who brought him immense joy and happiness.

Gary treasured spending time with his family and creating memories together. He had a special love for the beach and especially enjoyed spending time there with his family. He also loved trying new restaurants and sharing good meals and experiences with the people he loved. One of his favorite pastimes was fishing, and he especially enjoyed fishing with his brother and close friends, making memories that he treasured throughout his life.

Gary was a dedicated and hardworking man who continued to work full-time at Ellsworth Marketing until the time of his death. His commitment to his work and the people he worked with was an important part of his life.

Gary was preceded in death by his parents, George and Vivian Dallas; his brother, Franklin Dallas; and his beloved in-laws, Curtis Cone and Blanche Hogan.

He is survived by his brother Franklin’s wife, Kathy Dallas; his younger brother, Scott Dallas and his wife, Brenda Dallas; and his brother-in-law, Dean Cone and his wife, Lynne Cone.

Gary will be remembered for his love of family, his warmth, his great sense of humor, his adventurous spirit, his dedication to his work, and the many lives he touched throughout his life. His greatest joy was his family, and his legacy will live on through his wife, children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews, friends, and all those who loved him.

He will be deeply missed and forever loved.

Funeral services for Gary will be held on Friday, August 28, 2026, at Harpeth Hills Memory Gardens - Funeral Home & Cremation Center. Visitation will be held from 1:00–3:00 p.m., followed by a Celebration of Life at 3:00 p.m.
