Fred was born in Newport, Tennessee, to the late Kelce and Norma Arrington. He spent his life dedicated to his family and his craft, working as a carpenter and taking great pride in his work. A lifelong builder and fixer of all things mechanical, Fred was an avid tinkerer who could fix just about anything and always had a new project in the works. He had a knack for building and spent his best days puttering in the garage or enjoying time on the water fishing. He also found joy in gardening and working with his hands.
Fred is survived by his loving wife, Denise Arrington, with whom he recently celebrated 46 years of marriage on April 18, 2026. He is also survived by his children, Jason Arrington (Laura), Zac Arrington (Amber), Casey Arrington (Wendy), and Rikki Arrington; and his cherished grandchildren, Logan, Cameron, Stetson, Riverlyn, Elias, Nova, Azalea, Presleigh, Wilson, Haven, Easton, and Kye.
In addition to his parents, Fred was preceded in death by his brother, Michael Arrington. He is survived by his siblings, Rick Arrington and Pam Robinson.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 29, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., and again on Thursday, April 30, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. at Harpeth Hills Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow on Thursday, April 30, 2026, at 10:00 a.m., with burial at 11:00 a.m.
Fred’s legacy of hard work, dedication, and love for his family will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
