Frances Barnwell Woodall died in an automobile accident on January 12, 2022. Frances was born in Greenwood, Mississippi on March 2, 1962 to the late Samuel Davis Barnwell and Martha Kimbrough Barnwell. She grew up in Jackson, Mississippi and attended Jackson Prep. After graduating, she attended Converse College and the University of Georgia, where she was a member of Chi-Omega Sorority, and graduated with a degree in Fashion Merchandising.
Frances served in campus ministry in Los Angeles at the University of Southern California and worked with ministries in Washington D.C. and in Gainesville, Florida.
In Gainesville, she met her husband, Britt Woodall, and they began their family having two children, Britton and Katherine Grace. Later, they moved to Nashville, TN where Frances eventually began working in the mortgage industry and financial planning. It is here she discovered her passion to help anyone she could to feel confident about their finances. She helped countless families, friends and clients understand the importance of being prepared and educated when it came to their finances.
Frances emanated the Joy of the Lord and with that Joy she loved everyone around her. She had a zest for life that constantly led to adventure. One of her gifts was bringing the people she loved along on that adventure. Whether it was exploring a new place, trying a new activity, or pursuing an idea, she did it to the fullest. But her passion was for the people with whom she shared these experiences. She loved deeply as a mother, faithfully as a partner, fiercely as a friend, and generously to everyone she encountered. She loved beautifully because He first loved us completely.
Survivors include her husband, David Britton “Britt” Woodall, Jr.; daughter, Katherine Grace Woodall Morgan and son-in-law, Andrew Morgan; son, David Britton Woodall, III and his partner Anne Carney Raines; sister, Helen (Greg) Hall; brother, Allan (Rachael) Barnwell and a host of loving nieces and nephews.
