Elma Marie Neeley

Elma Marie Neely, age 96, from First District Williamson Country, Tennessee, passed away peacefully at home on April 1, 2023. Marie was born on October 13, 1926 to the late John and Maggie Gordon. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her loving husband David Neeley, daughter, Linda Pewitt, siblings, Tommy Gordon, Burbon Moore, Irene Griffey, Mckenley Gordon, Bennie Gordon, Houston Gordon, Addie Mae Pewitt, Burl Gordon, Dorothy Batts, and John Albert Gordon.

Marie is survived by her children, Charles (Kathryn) Tidwell, Larry (Susan) Tidwell, Ronnie Tidwell, Diane (Ronnie) Ivey, Renita (Mike) Adcox, son-in-law, Marshall Pewitt, 17 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren and 14 great great-grandchildren.

Marie loved vacationing to Florida and Gatlinburg’s Smoky Mountains. She enjoyed the outdoors and family gatherings. In her spare time, she loved gardening, cooking, and baking cakes and working on word puzzles. She will be greatly missed by all those who knew her.

Pallbearers are Chris Tidwell, Kevin Pewitt, Dale Ivey, Scott Adcox, James Tidwell, and Jason Ivey. Honorary Pallbearers are Dean Tidwell, Gary Pewitt, Eugene Tidwell, Jeff Tidwell, Jason Philips, Pat Lawson and Brian Underwood.

There will be a visitation Thursday April 6, 2023 from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm and Friday April 7, 2023 from 9:30am until the Celebration of Life 11:30 am all held at Harpeth Hills Funeral Home 9090 Highway 100 Nashville, Tennessee 37221.
