Ellen "Duck" Lester

Mrs. Ellen “Duck” Virginia Lester age 79, of White Bluff, TN. went to be with the Lord on March 23, 2023, at Alive Hospice in Nashville, TN.

Ellen was born on April 28, 1943 to the late Joseph Lewis Miles, Sr. and Elsie O’Dell Peach Miles. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her daughter, Brenda Schlegel, son, Granville Eugene “Gene” Spray, sisters, Nancy Clem and Sandra Miles. Ellen enjoyed cooking and spending time with her family. She liked to go boating and fishing and working in her flower garden. She retired after forty-five years of dedicated service from Nashville Wire Products.

Survivors include her son, Troy (Carla) Spray, grandchildren, Brittany (Brandon) Hatmaker, McKinnley (Andy) Sullivan and great granddaughter, Elsie Jayne Hatmaker, siblings, Betty Spray, Martha Woods, Joseph Lewis “Bubba” Miles, Jr. and Jeffrey Miles.

Visitation with the family will begin on Sunday, March 26, 2023, from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm and on Monday, March 27, 2023 from 12:00 pm until service time at 1:30 pm with burial to follow. All services will be held at Harpeth Hills Funeral Home, 9090 Hwy 100, Nashville, TN. 37221.
