Elena Ann Buwalda- Age 75 May 22, 2015. Survived by her husband of 54 years, John Buwalda; daughter, Carrie Harvey; sons, Geoffrey (Sharon) Buwalda and Vincent (Pamela) Buwalda; grandchildren, Elizabeth Harvey, Trey Harvey, Marybond Buwalda, Jennifer Haislip (Barry), Amy Buwalda, great grandchild Lilly Haislip, and siblings John, Simon, and Diane Huizenga. Preceded in death by her mother, Hendrika Huizenga; father, Sjoert Huizenga; sister Anne Honselaar; granddaughters, Allison and Catherine Harvey.
Elena was a devoted mother and wife who cherished her family and church. She was a Charter Member of Priest Lake Presbyterian Church and lifelong member of the choir. She also was a dedicated associate with Kroger Co. retiring after 34 years of service.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to American Cancer Society or Alive Hospice.
A Memorial Service will be at 11 a.m. on Saturday, May 30, 2015 at Priest Lake Presbyterian Church with the graveside service following at 2 p.m. at Harpeth Hills Memory Gardens, 9090 Hwy 100, Nashville (615) 646-9292
