From the Get-go, Jack was special. Born and raised in Nashville, TN and became a high school super star. He was a star basketball player, baseballl player, and track star. In Fact, that is how Jack got his name. He could jump so high and long that his school friends nicknamed him Jack Rabbit which eventually became Jack for short. But everyone who knew Jack knew there was nothing short about him. At 6’4” he could out jump anyone and held the Tennessee State record for high jump to prove it. After school, Jack start working at Baird Ward Printing Company and retired after 35 years. But he never stopped working, he got into carpentry. Jack became a master carpenter and woodworker, which he enjoyed. As a matter of fact, Jack enjoyed a lot of things. Just to name a few: he enjoyed the outdoors, camping, fishing, mowing the grass, building things, playing the bass guitar, bowling, hosting family gatherings and parties, and helping others. But most of all, he enjoyed his family and friends. Jack and his wife Irene shared 45 wonderful years together, married for 36 of those years. Their bond was a testament to enduring love and companionship and a beacon of light through life's ups and downs.
