In Loving Memory of Dylan Gregory Pruitt

March 19, 1987 – September 25, 2026

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Dylan Gregory Pruitt, who passed away unexpectedly on September 25, 2026, at the age of 39, following a tragic event. Originally from Corryton, Tennessee, Dylan resided in Fairview, Tennessee, with his beloved wife and three daughters.

Dylan was a beloved husband, father, son, brother, grandson, and friend whose life was defined by his love for his family, his faith in Jesus Christ, and the joy he brought to those around him.

Above all else, Dylan loved his wife, MacKenzie, and their three beautiful daughters, Ellie, Annie, and Charlotte. They were his greatest joy, and he loved them more than words could ever express. His love, laughter, and presence will forever remain in their hearts.

Dylan was a man of deep faith who believed in Jesus Christ and was a member of Harpeth Hills Church of Christ. His family finds comfort in knowing that he is now resting in the arms of the Lord and holds tightly to the promise of eternal life.

Dylan will be remembered for his many passions and the unique qualities that made him who he was. He had an avid love for guitars and music, which were a significant part of his life. His tattoos were more than just art; each one held a special meaning and told a story that was uniquely his.

He had a witty sense of humor and was known for his quick-witted, one-line zingers that could catch you off guard and leave you laughing. He was a collector of the things he loved most, always finding joy in the items that held meaning to him.

He was analytical and thoughtful, always taking the time to consider things deeply. He was smart, strong, and kind, and he had a way of making a lasting impression on those fortunate enough to know him.

Dylan also had a deep love for the outdoors, especially fishing and deer hunting. He took great pride in his fishing accomplishments, and his family will forever cherish the trout he caught that he was so proud of. He especially loved deer hunting with his bow, a passion that brought him joy and reflected his patience, skill, and appreciation for the outdoors.

His personality, passions, and the little things that made him uniquely Dylan will be cherished forever.

Dylan is survived by his loving wife, MacKenzie Pruitt, and their three daughters, Ellie, Annie, and Charlotte Pruitt.

He is also survived by his mother and stepfather, Janice and Jimmy Brown; his father and stepmother, Greg and Judy Pruitt; his brothers, Jake Pruitt and Wilson Pruitt, along with Wilson's wife, Sarah, and their son, August; his grandmothers, Helen Dyer and Nancy Crews; his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Gai and Berkley Davis; and his brothers- and sisters-in-law, Eli Davis and his wife, Molly, Hope Davis, Sawyer Davis, and Tripp Davis.

He was preceded in death by Charles Pruitt, James Ray Dyer, Jo Ellen Pruitt, and James "Sonny" Crews.

The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude for the overwhelming love, prayers, and support they have received during this incredibly difficult time. The kindness shown through meals, financial support, messages, and countless acts of love has been a tremendous source of comfort.

As we navigate life without Dylan, we ask that you continue to keep us, our girls, and our entire family in your prayers—not only during this time of loss, but throughout the months and many years to come. We know that grief does not end after the funeral, and we will continue to lean on the love, prayers, and support of those around us as we learn to live with this unimaginable loss. We are forever grateful for each and every one of you.

Dylan's life was a blessing, his memory a treasure, and his love will remain with us forever. Though he is no longer physically by our side, we take comfort in knowing that he is in the arms of Jesus and that we will one day be reunited.

He will be forever loved, forever missed, and never forgotten.
