Dorothy Carolyn Gilbert, age 71 of Bon Aqua, TN went to be with the Lord on Friday, October 4, 2013. Carolyn was born on March 16, 1942 in Walnut, MS.
Preceded by father; Thomas Curlin, daughter; Marcelle Simmons, sister; Marcelle Parker, granddaughter; Carla Buttrey.
She is survived by her loving husband of 34 years Carl V. Gilbert, mother; Louise Curlin, son; Richard Simmons II, Frank Simmons (Julie), Charles Simmons(Tammy), Kevin Gilbert(Charlotte), daughter; Connie Buttrey, sisters; Llynette Richards(Delbert), Marilyn Plummer, brother; Thomas Curlin, Jr.(Yvonne) 12 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 4:00 - 8:00 pm Sunday, October 6, 2013 at Harpeth Hills Home, where funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. on Monday, October 7, 2013 with Pastor Ronnie Johnson officiating. Interment will follow that Monday at 2 p.m. in Harpeth Hills Memory Gardens.
