Doris Barker

Doris Jean Barker passed away peacefully on September 15, 2021. She was the “shining star” of her family and had a smile that could light up a room. She was a member of the Church of Christ church and a kind soul who never met a stranger and always helped out anyone in need. She will be missed so much by everyone who loved and knew her. She is preceded in death by her parents, Eugene Ice and Ella Reeves Ice; brothers, Emmett and Robert Ice, and Mildred Ice. She is survived by her loving spouse of almost 76 years, Malcolm Barker; her daughter, Lyn (Roger) Rhodes; and her sons, Mike (Wanda) Barker, Russ (Becca) Barker, and Gary (Jan) Barker; grandchildren Amy Barker, Lauren (Isaac) Wang, Nathan Rhodes, Jamey (Kaleb) Hanley, Jenny (Aaron) Hutson, Monica Taylor, and Matthew (Lauren) Barker; and 11 great grandchildren: Harrison, Madison, Hayes, Jace, Hallie, Emmie, Mattingly, McCoy, Blake, Riley, and Holland.

Private services will be held for family with a celebration of life ceremony for family and friends planned at a future date.
