David Link King, 58, of Franklin, Tennessee, passed away on Thursday, November 5, 2026. He was preceded in death by his parents, Margaret and Jack King, and a brother, Jeff King.

David is survived by his brother, Brent King; three nieces, Amanda Marston (Bart), Julie Pope (Joe), and Becca Steed; a nephew, Josh King (Heather); along with several extended relatives and friends.

A graduate of Franklin High School, David was known for his fun-loving personality, cheerful spirit, and contagious smile. He was always happy, never met a stranger, and had a special way of making everyone around him feel welcome. His friendly nature and positive outlook on life made him a joy to be around, and he could easily brighten someone's day with his smile.

David loved NASCAR and was an enthusiastic fan of his favorite driver, Chase Elliott. He also enjoyed listening to classic country music and had a special appreciation for the songs and artists of years gone by. One of his greatest joys was the holiday season, especially Christmas with his family. He looked forward to the excitement and traditions of the holidays and embraced the season with childlike enthusiasm.

David will be remembered for his warm heart, joyful personality, and the happiness he brought to those around him. His ever-present smile and love for life will be deeply missed by his family and all who had the pleasure of knowing him.

The family cordially invites relatives and friends to visit from one-thirty in the afternoon until the time of the graveside service at two-thirty in the afternoon on Tuesday, November 10, 2026, at Harpeth Hills Memory Gardens, Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 9090 TN 100 in Nashville. Brother Mike Shelton will officiate the service.
