David Clemons

David Floyd Clemons, affectionately known as Dave, age 79, passed away peacefully at his home in Nashville on June 11, 2024. He was born in Nashville, Tennessee and attended East High School.

Dave was a dedicated member of West Meade Fellowship with his loving wife, Jane Petty Clemons. As a faithful Christian, he committed time to studying the word of God and sharing his faith with his friends and family. Dave enjoyed woodworking, gardening, traveling, and spending time with his friends, family, and grandchildren. He also enjoyed birdwatching as he was able to feed and identify them when they appeared. A dependable, trustworthy, and generous man will be how his family describes him as they continue to share his legacy. Dave lived his life serving the Lord through his kindhearted and loving personality.

Dave is preceded in death by his mother, Estelle Amos, grandmother, three siblings, and one granddaughter.

He is survived by his wife of twenty-seven years, Jane Clemons and her three daughters; Dave’s three children; fifteen grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. 

A visitation will be held on Friday, June 14, 2024, from 3:00pm until 6:00pm, and on Saturday June 15, from 9:00am until the hour of service at 10:00am in the chapel of Harpeth Hills Funeral Home with Brother Mike Shelton officiating.
