Obituary for Dr. Dale Henry Jamison, Jr. (March 7th, 1958 – November 16th, 2025)

Dale Henry Jamison, Jr. was born on March 7, 1958, in Memphis, Tennessee. On Sunday evening, November 16, 2025, he stepped peacefully into the presence of his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Surrounded by the love of his family, Dale passed into the loving embrace of Jesus. While Heaven has welcomed him home, his absence leaves a profound ache in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.

Dale was a rare and extraordinary gift—a faithful husband, devoted father and grandfather, genuine friend and mentor, and compassionate physician who carried the kindness and truth of Christ into every life he touched. His love for others led him on countless medical mission trips to places such as Jamaica, Haiti, China, and Nepal. His adventurous spirit took him sailing, scuba diving, skiing black diamonds, hiking 14ers, skydiving, and even flying planes. Dale truly lived life to the fullest.

Dale met his wife, Debbie, at UT Family Practice Center in Jackson, TN, where they both ran into each other working. Taken by her smile, Dale asked her to lunch. They married a year later and raised four daughters. Dale invested much of his time in equipping his daughters for all that life may bring. Dale always pointed Debbie to the Lord.

His life was shaped deeply by his faith. Dale committed his life to Christ at Silver Cliff Ranch and later served on Work Crew and Summer Staff. Alongside his beloved wife, Debbie, he joyfully invested in ministry through Young Life—serving on the local committee, caring for campers as a camp doctor, supporting Young Life College, and traveling to love and serve others. Their children grew up at Frontier Ranch and many other Young Life camps, where Dale was cherished in his role as camp doctor.

Dale also served on the board of Mike Silva International and as an elder in his church helping bring the gospel to people locally and around the world. He was passionate about the work of International Justice Mission and Palau Ministries, always seeking to bring light into the darkest places.

Dale is preceded in death by his parents Dale Henry Jamison, Sr., and Margaret Francis Kallaher Jamison, and sister, Jan Jamison Kunkle.

Dale is survived by his wife, Debbie, and their children: Margaret Jamison (James Addison), Mary Jamison (Jeremy Salyers), Julia Jamison (Alex Little), and Joy Lisea (Braeden Lisea). He is also survived by two grandchildren, Rio and Ora Addison, with a third expected on his birthday.

Though we grieve deeply, we do so with hope. Dale has simply gone ahead of us, and we trust in the promise that we will see him again in the glory of our King. Until that day, we honor the legacy he leaves behind—a life marked by faith, compassion, and unwavering kindness.
