Craig Alexander Hamilton, born May 18, 1953, passed away peacefully at his home in Nashville on Wednesday, October 22, surrounded by his loving family.
Craig was preceded in death by his parents, Audrey and Richard Hamilton. He is survived by his beloved wife, Martha Lynn Haury; his son, Ryan (Holly) Hamilton; his daughter, Kristen (Tom) Woddail; his granddaughter, Karis Woddail; his brother, David (Sue) Hamilton and his sister Cyndy (Bill) Hinton. He is also survived by his cherished stepdaughters, Kelly (Heath) Brooks and Lee (David) Wilson, from a previous marriage, as well as several nieces and nephews.
Born in Buffalo, New York, Craig spent his childhood in Buffalo, Louisville, and Nashville. He graduated from John Overton High School in Nashville, Tennessee, and attended Tennessee Tech University. Craig began his professional career with The Kroger Company and later worked for EMS and Catalina Marketing, retiring in 2011.
Craig was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. He will be remembered for his strong work ethic, steadfast convictions, and his love of adventure, travel, sports, and music.
Craig trained Stella to be a therapy dog and volunteered together at Alive Hospice.
Rather than a formal service, the family will host a gathering of family and friends to share memories and celebrate his life on Monday, November 24, 2025, from 3:00–5:00 p.m. at:
