Catherine Lorene Bell of Nashville died on Tuesday, June 9 at the age of 87. She was a beloved sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and a gentle, loving soul. Born in Nashville on March 11, 1928 to the late John S. and Lavada Simpson Sullivan. Preceded in death by eight brothers and sisters; her husband, Valter Curtis "Kirk" Bell; and daughter Cathie (Ronald) Porter. Survived by her sister Emma Dee Jackson; daughter Debbie Haffner and sons Ricky Bell and Michael (Shannon) Bell; grandchildren Jody (Angie) Smith, Jeff Porter, Jared (Meaghan) Porter, Jennifer (Thomas) Ford, Jana (Michael) Stephenson, Catherine Bell and Caroline Bell; and four great-grandchildren. Visitation: Thursday, June 11 from 4 to 8 p.m. and Friday, June 12 at 9 a.m. at Harpeth Hills Funeral Home. Service: Friday, June 12 at 9:30 a.m. at Harpeth Hills, Pastor Jack W. Davis officiating. Burial will follow at Harpeth Hills Memory Gardens. Pallbearers: Golden Hand, Jeff Porter, Jared Porter, Thomas Ford, Donnie Neely, Ronald Porter.
