Obituary

In Loving Memory of

Cassandra Lynn Madson

October 22, 1982 — August 24, 2026

Cassandra "Cassie" Lynn Madson was born on October 22, 1982, to Henry Alan Madson and Ekaterina (Madson) Brumit, and lovingly raised by LaTonya and Jerome Dotson. She went home to be with the Lord on August 24, 2026, at the age of 43.

Cassie was a very special child of God — a God-given breath of life and a true miracle to us all. She was loved by many and brought joy to everyone she met. Her warm smile and the loving tilt of her head when she told people she loved them will forever be remembered. Cassie was a burst of energy who loved singing, dancing, traveling, and gathering with family for holidays and her favorite foods.

Cassie also loved her church family at True Gospel Church, where she was very active. She assisted with the outreach ministry, serving her community by distributing food to the homeless and clothing for the needy. Cassie loved serving others, and though she fought her own battles daily, she never neglected to intercede for others, faithfully taking her seat during prayer.

Cassie also cherished her special friends at New Horizons Life Skills: Eric Hobbs, Jamese Copeland, and Lisa Williams.

Cassie is survived by:

Extended (God-given) Parents: LaTonya (Jerome) Dotson

Mother: Ekaterina (Kat) Brumit

Siblings: Joseph (Jenna) Kennedy, Ami Wright, James (Kamie) Madson, and Henry (Tricia) Madson

Extended Siblings: Rossie (Stassie) Shannon, De'Laphiette (Dee) Shannon, Rodney (Kadesha) Shannon, Azaria Dotson, Alijah Dotson, and Kolin Jackson

Also surviving: a host of loving nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and friends

Cassie will be deeply missed but never forgotten. Her light, her laughter, and her loving heart touched everyone who knew her, and her memory will forever be cherished by all who loved her.
