Carolyn Faith Allen
On Sunday, March 31st, 2024, our beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother, and sister was carried gently into Jesus’ arms, her last and heavenly home. She is now reunited with her parents, Robert and Opal Waddey; son, Christopher “Chris” James-Allen; grandson, Brandon “Brad” Christopher Slaughter; late husband, Bill Allen; partner, Howard Parsons; as well as many family members and friends.
Carolyn was born on February 11th, 1942, in Louisville, Kentucky and grew up in Franklin, Tennessee. She was a strong woman of faith as she attended Franklin FreeWill Baptist Church. She was very outgoing and never met a stranger. She had a heart of gold and was admired by those who knew her well.
She will be forever cherished and remembered by her children Beverly (Randy), Tammy, Jeff (Candy), Robbie (Rhonda); as well as 9 grandchildren, BO (Brandi), Ashley (John), Chris (Britt), Will (Sam), Anastasia (Sheldon), Jordan (Jake), Olivia, Spencer (Chelsea), and Bobby. She also leaves behind twenty-seven great grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren as well as her beloved dog Max.
Carolyn will be missed by her sister, Maxine (Doug), as well as many nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
A visitation will be held at Harpeth Hills Funeral Home on Wednesday, April 3rd, from 4-8pm and Thursday, April 4th, from 12:30-1:30pm. A Celebration of Life will be at 1:30pm and Interment at 2:30pm at Harpeth Hills Memory Gardens.
