Carolyn Carter

Carolyn Annette Carter, age 79, was born on June 21, 1943 in Nashville, Tennessee. She passed away on December 2, 2022.

She is preceded in death by parents Herbert and Margaret Dill, brother Bill Dill, son-in-law Brandon Sullivan, brother-in-law Johnny Todd, daughter-in-law Tresa Carter.

Carolyn is survived by her loving husband of 61 years Jerry Carter, children, Tim Carter, Kevin Carter (Jamie), Jason Carter (Karen), Jennifer Cantrell (John), grandchildren Molly Hite (Chris), Riley Carter (Hannah), Mia Doucette (Spencer), Amanda Slaughter (Jay), Leann Hollars (Jon), Kaylan Gilbert (Billie), Kylie Carter, Todd Carter, Levi Sullivan, Hannah Sullivan, and Ella Cantrell, great- grandchildren, Lillian Hite, Sawyer Hite, Jack Slaughter, Madalynn Slaughter, Rowan Hollars, Bryce Carter, Sutton Carter and Weston Gilbert, sisters, Barbara Russell (Wayne) and Judy Todd.

Carolyn was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends, especially playing cards, dominos and taking trips to the mountains with her girlfriends. Her favorite past times include watching a falling snow, her birds and flowers in her yard, but most importantly playing with her iPad. She will be greatly missed by all those who knew her.

There will be a visitation Sunday December 11, 2022 from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm and Monday December 12, 2022 from 2:00 pm until the Celebration of Life 3:00 pm all held at Harpeth Hills Funeral Home 9090 Highway 100 Nashville, Tennessee 37221. Burial will follow at Lampley Cemetery in Fairview, Tennessee 37062.
