Carol Elaine Holt, resident of Dickson, Tennessee, passed away on July 4, 2026, at the age of 86. Born on May 7, 1940, in Pulaski, Tennessee, Carol lived a life marked by warmth and enduring kindness.

Although born in Pulaski, Tennessee, Carol called Dickson her home, and it was here that she cultivated friendships and rich connections within her community. Her presence brought comfort and reassurance.

Carol served as a school bus driver for the Williamson County School systems for over 30 years. This was a testament to her hardworking personality, where she was able to pour into the children she interacted with every day.

Carol is preceded in death by her husband, Richard B Holt; son-in-law, Buck Overby; parents, Virgil Eston McMasters and Mary Lou Beard; and siblings, Iva McMasters Holt, Dorothy McMasters, Virgil Eston McMasters Jr., Paul McMasters, June McMasters Renfro, Wayne McMasters, and Blaine McMasters.

Carol is survived by her children, Jeff Wall (Carol), Kathy Overby, and Steven R. Holt (Mary Heft); grandchildren, Brittney Flippo, Chase Wall, and Jon Wall; and great-grandchildren Chloe Perkins, Bralen Perkins, Jake Flippo, Barrett Flippo, and Hallie Mae Wall.

As she leaves this world, Carol Elaine Holt is remembered with love and reverence. The echoes of her warmth will live on in every life she touched. Though her passing leaves an emptiness in the hearts of many, her spirit remains a guiding light. She will be deeply missed.

There will be a graveside service for Carol on Monday, July 13th, 2026, at 12:30pm at Harpeth Hills Memory Gardens; 9090 Highway 100, Nashville, TN 37221.
