Obituary

Bonnie Rhea “Bucket” Hogan, age 79, was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend whose kindness, humor, and welcoming spirit touched the lives of so many.

Bonnie was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Wayne E. Hogan; three children, Michelle Greer, Tammy Johnson, and Randy Russell; grandson, Little Randy Russell; and three brothers, Gary Russell, Danny Russell, and Bruce Russell.

She is survived by her son, Jeffrey Sharp (Laquieta); three grandchildren, Crystal Hooper, Jessica Johnson, and Kala Russell; great-grandson, Danny Johnson; along with numerous extended relatives and dear friends.

Bonnie was a hardworking and dedicated woman who spent over 29 years working at Springs Industries. A talented seamstress throughout her life, she enjoyed sewing and making clothing for those she loved. Her hardworking nature was matched only by her generous heart and willingness to care for others.

Bonnie was known for her wonderful sense of humor, her love of cooking, and her ability to make everyone feel right at home. Her kitchen was often the heart of the neighborhood, where she lovingly prepared meals for family, friends, and anyone who happened to stop by. Whether it was her famous spaghetti, chicken and dumplings, homemade banana pudding, or delicious peach cobbler, no one ever left Bonnie's home hungry.

Her home was more than just a place to visit; it was a gathering place where everyone was welcome. Family, friends, and neighbors often found themselves staying late into the evening or spending the night, knowing there was always a place for them at Bonnie's house.

Above all, Bonnie lived with a heart full of love and forgiveness. She believed in loving and forgiving others just as God has loved and forgiven us. She had a special way of making people feel accepted, cared for, and loved no matter what their circumstances.

Bonnie will be remembered for her laughter, her delicious home-cooked meals, her strong work ethic, and the unconditional love she so freely shared. Though she will be deeply missed, the memories made around her table, the laughter shared in her home, and the love she gave so generously will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
