Bobby Frank McKinney, 84, passed away on July 3, 2026, at his home in Fairview, TN.

Bobby was born March 14, 1942, in Davidson County, TN to the late Grace Nalls McKinney Wilsford and Horace Junior McKinney.

Bobby graduated from Goodlettsville High School before enlisting in the U.S. Army where he served in Korea during the Vietnam era. After his service he went to Austin Peay for a year. Bobby worked and retired from Triumph (Avco). He worked alongside his wife for WAVES of Fairview where he would retire again five years later. Bobby was a member of Liberty Lincoln Church of Christ in Fairview, TN. for 52 years. Above all he loved the Lord with all his heart.

Bobby was a loving and devoted husband of over 58+ years, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, caretaker and friend. He had a passion for baseball and enjoyed being an umpire, coach, music, singing, writing and sharing stories, songs, and poems that he wrote, Bobby was a D.J for Rodio Free Nashville for 11 years. He and his wife helped in building the station along with many more, he enjoyed spending time at the YMCA with many friends he had there. He was a devoted father of 4 boys and loved camping and vacations with the family.

Bobby is predeceased in death by his parents Grace Nalls McKinney Wilsford and Horace Junior McKinney, his adopted brother Johnny Wilsford, his half-sister Debbie McKinney, his aunt Catherine Rennick and other aunts and uncles his grandmother Jonnie Cope McKinney who raised him as her own.

Bobby is survived by his loving wife, Rosa Martin McKinney, sons Casey (Donna), Jeffery (Dottie), Patrick (Sara), and Brian, grandchildren Frank, Scott, Kayleann, Gypsy, Brystol, Cypress, Konley (K.K.), Seth, Gavin, Peyton, Liam, Sienna, Elijah, and Samuel, great-grandchildren Savid, Caddo, Gatlin, Kaymen, Delta, and Jackson. Bobby’s ½ bro. Ricky McKinney (Connie) Aunt Lucille.

His minister Bruce Buttrey will be officiating the service

Visitation will be held at Harpeth Hills Funeral Home on Thursday July 16th from 4-8 and again on Friday July 17th from 12:30 until service beginning at 1:30. Burial to follow in the Garden of Prayer. All services will be held at Harpeth Hills Funeral Home, 9090 Hwy 100, Nashville, TN, 37221
