Billie Jean Breedlove passed away on December 30, 2023.
Billie Jean was born to the late Albert Elmore Schroeder and the late Lorene Morris Schroeder on January 14, 1935 in Nashville Tennessee. She grew up with a very close family of two brothers and three sisters on a family farm on Shroeder Lane. Eventually she moved to the Bordeaux area and attended Cumberland High School where she was Miss Cumberland, class favorite, homecoming queen and captain star of the basketball team. On April 1,1955 she married her high school sweetheart Billy Joe Breedlove and eventually had three sons. She was a homemaker and taught her sons everything they know about sports. She made sure they were in church every time the doors were open. The family moved to Bellevue in the early 70’s because the Bellevue Church of Christ felt like home to her. She was a member there for over 50 years. She was very active in the church and taught many children in Sunday school. In 1972, Billie began a career in real estate with Blair Realtors selling homes in the Bellevue area.
Bille Jean was very active during her life. She played tennis, was in several bowling leagues, later in life took up golf and is the only one in the family that has a hole in one. She loved playing golf with her three sisters. Her and Billie Joe also loved playing cards with family and friends. They also enjoyed traveling with ball teams, to barrel races, with church friends and family members.
Billie spent countless hours at sporting events cheering on her boys. At baseball games her boys have all heard “hit it over second base.”
She was always Billie Jean or Sister growing up. Then after moving to Bellevue she was known as Billie then after her grandchildren were born she was known as BB. Whatever you knew her by you knew she was a Godly wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.
Billie Jean is proceeded in death by her mother Lorene Schroeder, father Elmore Schroeder and husband of 67 years Billy Joe Breedlove.
Billie Jean is survived by sons Mark (Sandra) Breedlove, Larry (Becky) Breedlove, Russ (Jan) Breedlove, grandchildren Brian (Laura Beth) Breedlove, Corey (Abby) Breedlove, Meredith Breedlove, Mallory Breedlove, Katie Breedlove, Emily Breedlove, Ben Macer, great grandchildren William Breedlove and Ansley Breedlove brothers Jimmy Schroeder (Betty-deceased), Tommy (Beuna) Schroeder, sisters Patsy (Dicky) Arrington, Faye (David) Sherill, Susie (Ronnie) Pardue and numerous nephews and nieces.
