Betty was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She was born in Knoxville, TN and was the fourth of six children. She married her best friend’s brother on March 9, 1946. Donald and Betty were married for 76 years and raised four children. She effortlessly cared for all aspects of home and family. She was an excellent cook and often made homecooked meals for more than her family of six. Betty was quite the seamstress – from clothes for her daughters & later for her granddaughters….to pillows and draperies. Crafts were a favorite pastime. Betty liked getting together with her sisters or friends and crafting. Family reunions included show and tell time for recently made crafts. When Donald convinced her to try camping, she was hooked. Camping became one of her favorite things. Christmas was her favorite holiday, transforming her home to a winter wonderland. Betty enjoyed reading and somehow found the time for it amidst taking care of home and family. She was very much loved by family and friends.

There will be a private family service held at a later date.
